BLENDED LEARNING

Many schools are doing wonderful jobs incorporating appropriate technology into their teaching methods. They are bold enough to twig the syllabus to meet the needs of the variety of learning styles. They are not leaving any child behind. Each person is working at different levels of mastery but at the end of the day, they ensure that each student has mastered the concept by doing problem over and over again until a mastery level is achieved. By using technology appropriately, the teachers have time for every student. This article (click to read article) I found on Yahoo illustrates how some schools are doing the right thing "teaching students how to learn". There is a shared responsibility to learn. The joy of learning can be re-kindlled if the right approach is used by educators. When students get to the point of knowing that they are responsible for their of own learning, they will never struggle in the colleges where they are not supposed to be spoon-fed.
